It’s ok, but it needs work. Good product in theory. This device is great in theory. That you could connect both an IDE and a SATA device and transfer data between each. The real problem is the IDE slots. It is easy to not be aligned. I guess that’s why you don’t see too many “stand up” style devices for IDE drives. I tested 8 IDE drives, and it only connected once for me. That ONE time, it worked like a charm. After that, I couldn’t line up the pins again. Too frustrating. If you buy this device, hopefully you’ll only have one…

WYSIWYG on this product! Does exactly what it says and solved my need perfectly. Inexpensive too?!? What’s not to like? 🙂 So many bad reviewers on this item. This is not a consumer item. This is a technician item.

be carefull I purchased this to get some old files off some IDE drives. First I was able to get only some of the drives to seat into the dock. I had to buy an IDE extention cable with a power extender to get those drives to work. At first the unit worked wonderfully, but the directiosn say that you can simply turn the unit off to remove the drive. When I did that, every drive I did that to, sector 0 was corrupted. This was probaby because i had google BAckup and sync working. Probably should have…
